Differences in Sex Education in Different Countries

Sex education is very important for children's healthy growth. It can not only enable children to correctly understand the differences in physiological structure and sexual knowledge, but also help children avoid some sexual abuse and harm from others, enhance their self-protection awareness, and give them a healthy and happy childhood. Different countries have different ways of sex education because of cultural differences and different levels of sexual development.

For example, when children find that their parents are having sex, the way they deal with it varies from country to country.

Sweden is a sexually open country. Parents let their children receive sex education from an early age. When they are found having sex with their children, they will not treat their children severely, but tell them that they are playing adult games as calmly and easily as children are playing children's games. The child will soon recover and play by himself.

France is a romantic country. They are very romantic and attach great importance to sex education. Parents will teach their children physiological knowledge such as gender differences, human development and maturity, and birth and childbirth at a very young age. They will teach children to cherish the value of life and the friendship between men and women. They will calmly educate their children about sex. When they are found having sex, they don't yell at children or treat them coldly. They let children know that sex is the normal needs and rights of adults and that sex is natural and wonderful. It is not terrible, nor malicious, the only terrible thing is people's incorrect attitude to it.

Sex is a taboo word in China. They think it is shameful to discuss it. Parents don't take the initiative to educate their children about sex. They think it's a terrible thing to tell their children about sex. So children are missing in sex education. When they grow up and encounter sexual assault, they are afraid and don't know how to deal with it. When parents are found having sex with their children, their first reaction is to scold them severely and warn them not to enter their parents' room. This way of dealing with children will have a great impact on the future, so that they become ashamed to talk about sex.

Many countries in the world attach great importance to adolescent sex education. They begin to receive sex education from childhood to cultivate healthy sexual psychology.

Japan is a country with a high degree of sexual openness. They have integrated sex education into school education since childhood. Their textbooks have positive and intuitive display of sexual knowledge. In junior high school and senior high school, each school has a special "assistant association" established by experts and scholars, which is responsible for providing students with various sexual counseling, sex education and compiling sex education instruction manual.

From the first grade of primary school, the United States began to teach reproduction, gender differences, personal hygiene, masturbation, sexual ethics and other knowledge. In junior middle school, we talk about the knowledge of reproductive process, sexual maturity, menstruation, spermatorrhea, sexual restriction, etc. In senior high school, students are taught about marriage, family, sexual attraction, homosexuality, sexually transmitted diseases, prostitution and sexual abnormality, and condoms are distributed to students.

In response to the increasing pregnancies among female students in recent years, Singapore has devoted a special sex education course in schools to teach students how to deal with friendship, friends of the opposite sex, feelings and puppy love. It attaches great importance to their adolescent psychological problems and creates opportunities for children to contact with the opposite sex and teaches them how to master appropriate rules. Degree and discretion, rational treatment and heterosexual exchanges, do not cross the line of friendship. At the same time, some bad film and television publications and computer yellow virus in society are resisted vigorously, and all kinds of illegal elements that induce girls to commit crimes are cracked down.
